Either @kalimirchi are extremely ignorant about the Kashmir issue or they are a blind Indian nationalist.
Why else would they completely absolve the Indian military and the Indian government of killing millions of innocent men, women and children?
Yes, the Pakistani military and government are illegally occupying a part of the Kashmir that belongs to the Kashmiris only. I firmly believe that Kashmir needs to be demilitarized and handed over to the Kashmiris.
But let’s look at the facts here. There are NO uprisings in the Pakistani part of Kashmir. There are NO killings of innocent men and children in this part of Kashmir. And that’s because most of the Kashmiris are Muslim and actually want to be a part of an Islamic republic. In fact most political analysts believe that if Nehru govt. had gone ahead with the promised plebiscite in the Indian occupied Kashmir a majority of the Kashmiris would have voted to be a part of the Islamic republic of Pakistan.
But the case is very different in the Indian occupied Kashmir. The majority of the population wants independence from India on religious grounds. There are uprisings and protests against the Indian govt.’s failure to conduct the promised plebiscite and it’s forcible occupation of Kashmir against the will of the Kashmiris.
The Indian military and government forcefully crush these protests. Innocent school going kids are killed like lambs. Poor young Kashmiri men are slaughtered mercilessly, thousands of women have been widowed and millions of kids have been orphaned only to further India’s (completely illegal) hold over a part of Kashmir.
Indian tourism companies depict Kashmir as this peaceful, picturesque valley which is an utter disgrace and dishonor to the millions of Kashmiri men, women and children who have been brutally slaughtered by the Indian military.
Ok but Pakistan occupied Kashmir is not some haven of peace. And don’t fucking assume kashmiris overwhelmingly want to become a part of Pakistan because that is just factually incorrect. Don’t kid yourself. Pakistan has Kashmiri blood on its hands too. And also has a lot to do with why Indian occupied Kashmir is in the state its in. Indian AND Pakistan’s actions have continuously terrorized and hurt Kashmiris on both sides of occupation. Please don’t spew bullshit half sided truths.
Why do you Indians and Pakistanis have to make this about yourselves? Why can’t you just care about us for once? When will Kashmir be more than just a territory to you? When will we be more than a debate you?
